Explore Costa Rica's highest peaks and the surrounding mountain trails in the Parque Nacional Chirripó (trailhead 1.2 km from the lodge), Cloudbridge Nature Reserve (2.1 km), and Talamanca Nature Reserve (150 m). Accessible via bus, rideshare, or passenger vehicle, you will be steps from local restaurants and mini-supers and just 30 minutes drive from San Isidro del General.

LUGGAGE STORAGE ?
You're welcome to leave your bags with us before check-in or after check-out at no extra cost, so you can continue enjoying the area stress-free, including overnights on Chirripo.
PARKING ?
We offer free parking for all guests. You are welcome to leave your car in our lot for as long as you are on the mountain. Wheelchair accessible parking is available in front of the lodge. If you do not need accessible parking, please park at the signed grassy parking area south of the lodge. The grassy parking area can fit a minibus and many vehicles.
DO I NEED A 4x4 VEHICLE?
No, a 4x4 vehicle is not neccesary to reach Casa Colibri or the Chirripo Trailhead but is advisable to drive to Cloudbridge.
GETTING AROUND & BUS INFORMATION ?
Buses run daily between San Isidro del General and San Gerardo:
The bus stop is 300m below the lodge at San Gerardo de Rivas soccer field.

LOCATIONS AND DISTANCE ?
We are just 1 kilometer from the entrance to Chirripo National Park and 2 Kilometers from CloudBridge Nature Reserve. The bus stop is 300m below the lodge at San Gerardo de Rivas soccer field.
HIKING INFORMATION?

CLOUDBRIDGE NATURE RESERVE: No permits or reservations are required. Pay daily entrance fee at Cloudbridge.
FOOD & NEARBY SERVICES ?
There are local restaurants and small supermarkets nearby (see map below). We don't offer breakfast. You'll have everything you need close by to prepare or purchase meals.
KITCHEN ACCESS ?
Guest are welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen. We also provide organic fruits and coffee fresh of the farm as well as basic cooking essentials like oils and spices.
SHOWERS AFTER CHECK-OUT ?
Showers are available after check-out for 2500 colones.
LAUNDRY SERVICES ?
We offer laundry services for 5000 colones, depending on availability. Please ask us as early as possible to ensure there is time to wash and dry.
